4 Shortlisted For Bolgatanga MCE Position

Four persons have been shortlisted for the vacant Municipal Chief Executive position in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region a1radioonline.com can reliably confirm.

The MCE position for the Bolgatanga Municipal Chief Executive became vacant after the former MCE, Hon. Edward Ayiriba Ayagle handed over to the Upper East Regional Minister, James Zuugah Tiigah on August 18th 2015.

A1 Radio News source at the Regional Cordinating Council indicated that all eleven contestants proved beyond doubt that they are competent for the position but upon a thorough screening by the vetting committee, the number was pruned down to four.

The individuals shortlisted include Edward Ayagle, the immediate former MCE of the Bolgatanga Municipality, Aboore Adongo Philip, a Non- formal coordinator, Bolga Municipal/ Bolga central constituency organizer, Bennedict K.K Adongo, who is the Manager of Goil Service station, Bolgatanga and Alhaji Abubakar Mamudu, a Retired finance officer Binduri District Assembly.

The shortlisted names will be forwarded to the President who will nominate one for the position.

However, the president’s nominee’s confirmation is subject to him securing two-third of votes by assembly members present and voting.
