Chelsea and West Ham have both been fined by the Football Association for failing to control their players during their recent Premier League clash.
Jose Mourinho’s side have been forced to pay £50,000 while the Irons will have to fork out £40,000.
The recent meeting at Upton Park – which the Hammers won 2-1 – descended into chaos in the moments after the sending off Nemanja Matic just prior to half-time for two bookings.
West Ham were found guilty of failing to control their players in the 44th minute, while Chelsea were culpable of the same offence in the 45th minute.
The FA’s statement read: “Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, West Ham United and Chelsea have been fined £40,000 and £50,000 respectively after both clubs admitted an FA misconduct charge.
“The charge was for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the fixture between the two sides on 24 October 2015.
“Both clubs were also severely warned as to their future conduct.”
In the same match, Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands at half-time after confronting John Moss in his dressing room during the break.
The Portuguese has since served a one-match stadium ban for his actions, missing Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat at Stoke City last weekend.
