NPP Bolgatanga Central Communications Director, Elvis-Figo Awonekai has threatened to sue the governing National Democratic Congress because his name appeared in their voters register.

According to the NPP’s constituency Communications Director,” i was informed by a brother in October that my name was found in the register during the exhibition. And after receiving the information, I called some of the regional executives of the party to confirm whether it was true or not. After confirming that my name was in the register, i quickly wrote a letter requesting for my name to be removed from the register.”

He mentioned that he was shocked to see his name in the National Democratic Congress’s register although executives promised to remove it before the November 21 parliamentary election.

He has however threatened to take legal action after seeking lawyer’s advice, because he is an executive of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and cannot tell the reason why his name was found in an opposition party’s register.
Speaking to A1 radio, Figo stated that his name found in NDC register is a clear example of what the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo meant when he said NDC has the Electoral commission data base.
