GFA President impressed with Cape Coast stadium

The President of the Ghana football association, Kwesi Nyantakyi could not hide his excitement after touring the Cape Coast sports stadium.

The edifice which has the capacity to house 16,400 spectators, was constructed by Chinese firm International Corporation, commissioned yesterday (Tuesday) and is ready to host sporting activities.

Prior to the commissioning of the multipurpose edifice, the Sports Minister and the FA President in the company of other dignitaries, toured the stadium, and Nyantakyi was impressed with what he saw.

He believes the country will enjoy success in sporting events at the stadium.

“I am really impressed with the facilities and I am certain that we will enjoy memorable moments here,” the Ghana Football Association President said.

“This adds to the stadia we have already and it is all in the direction of helping improve the playing ground for the game.

“To be frank, I am very much impressed with the edifice,” he added.

The stadium will host the 2015-16 FA Cup final in August 28.
