A1 Radio has been honored by MTN Ghana as the best cooperative media house in the Upper East region.
The recognition was announced at the 2016 MTN Ghana Upper East media and stakeholders forum held at the Ex-tee crystal hotel in Bolgatanga, Tuesday.
Though the recognition did not come with any attached prize, management received the recognition with excitement and promised more cooperation with MTN.
Speaking at the forum, the Senior Corporate Communications Manager of MTN Georgina Fiagbenu outlined some of the contributions of MTN to national development, to local business support, job creation, and contributions to government revenue through direct employment by MTN as well as indirectly through a host of companies that depend on MTN to enhance business.
She further indicated that MTN Ghana has rolled out over 130 projects in the past 8years which has impacted 4million citizens directly and indirectly with total amount of GH¢22,229,598 million
Ms. Georgina announced MTN Ghana is going to invest more than Gh₵ 10 million in anniversary projects especially in health, education and economic empowerment noting that the education projects will benefit 300 needy but brilliant students across the country.
