Finally, the video of the much talked about song from Soorebia of BBT was on Thursday October 6 premiered on rhythms live on GhOne TV.
The song according to Soorebia features one of the upper east region’s best female vocalist Ayilla Peace and it portrays his dominance over frafra rap.
“I started doing music in 2007 and was motivated to rap in my language by Edem. I was watching his Keva music video and was like if Edem can rap in his language why can’t I?” he said.
Soorebia is largely known in the upper east region as a pioneer of frafra rap music with a thrilling command and dexterity over the language in rap composition.
“I used to look up to Lil Wayne but now my main mentor is Kendrick Lamar” he added.
‘Primus’ was released last year and was adjudged the best song in a competition held on EIB’s Live FM in Accra dubbed ‘live or not’ hosted by Sammy Forson and has since been making waves on most of Ghana’s urban waves.
Soorebia also stressed “music in the north isn’t moving forward because no one is willing to invest in music in the north.”
