The disqualified Presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress Hassan Ayariga has taken a campaign for President John Dramani Mahama to the upper east region.

According to Mr. Ayariga, since President Mahama assumed office as a President, the country has not seen any conflict anywhere in country and he believes giving President John Dramani Mahama the opportunity for the second term, will give Ghanaians more lasting peace.

He said his party APC did not endorse the NPP Presidential candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo because the party did not approach his party leadership.
Speaking to A1 News in an exclusive interview in Bolgatanga Friday, he said, “CPP, NDC and one independent party approached us for endorsement and we did not endorse NPP because the NPP did not approach us and if you don’t approach me, i don’t think i would have to come looking for you, you would disrespect me and disrespect my party and for that matter APC is a huge party and we will not waste our time following people.”
According to Mr. Ayariga, he is in the upper east region for two reasons, which includes campaigning for his parliamentary candidates and to officially declare his support for President John Dramini Mahama for his second term in office.
“We are here to ask Ghanaians that lets vote for a competent leader, lets vote for a unifier, lets vote for a man of peace, let’s vote for a visionary leader, lets vote for a God fearing candidate, somebody who has track record and has demonstrated to Ghanaians that yes he have maintained peace over the years.”
