Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawane has been declared the winner of the Nabdam constituency in the ongoing election.
The Nabdam seat which had been the sole preserve of the National Democratic Congress was snatched from them in 2012 after the then Member of Parliament, Moses Asaga lost to Boniface Gambilla.
However, the party led by Dr. Mark Kurt Nawane has reclaimed the seat for the National Democratic Congress by polling 9,373 as against the New Patriotic Party’s Boniface Gambilla who polled 6,328.
Total votes cast in the Nabdam constituency for the Parliamentary race was 15,610 with 308 been rejected ballots.
