The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has ruled in favour of Accra Great Olympics in their match protest against fellow debutants, Bolga All Stars.

Bolga All Stars failed to pay for their Officiating fees for the Division one league last season although several reminders from the Ghana Football Association.

The win by Olympics means the match-day three encounter between the Bolga All Stars and Olympics have been annulled with three points and three goals awarded to Accra Great Olympics.

“That failing to pay its share of officiating fees for the 2015/2016 season to the GFA on or before October 31, 2016 deadline given by the Ruling of the Disciplinary Committee dated October 12, 2016, Bolga All Stars FC have acted in violation of Article 39 (8)(b) and 39 (8)(d) of the General Regulations and shall forfeit the match in respect of this protest.”

The ruling of the Disciplinary Committee read “that having been found to forfeit the match, Bolga All Stars FC shall be deemed as having lost the match 3-0 to Accra Great Olympics in accordance with Articles 31(1) and 31(2) of the GFA Disciplinary Code”.

Olympics has failed to win a single game since that start of the league and this becomes their first win of the season. Bolga All Stars will now be at the bottom of the league log with just after seven games in the league.
