The Upper East regional minister, Hon. Rockson Bukari has disclosed the intention of the Regional Coordinating council and Municipal Assembly in Bolgatanga to embark on a massive eviction of people occupying state quarters illegally.

He said: “The Coordinating council has decided to audit the various state quarters in the region to ascertain whether individuals occupying it are legally occupying them. If they are found not to be legal occupants, we will sack all of them from the houses. When these people are evicted, it will create space for your staff in order to make them effective.”

He noted that the Upper East region is lagging because things had not been done right in the past but gave a strong indication that his tenure will see the region be transformed into an enviable one.

He indicated that he was aware of the several projects of the school which has stalled and has affected the quality of education but assure the school that government through the GETFUND will address all such projects before new ones are started.

The man known as action man called on the management of the school to be committed to their duties in order to churn out responsible nurses considering the premium placed on health issues.
