Highlife artiste, Kumi Guitar has said he hopes to work hard to encourage Zylophone media to sign more underground artistes to help the music industry grow.
According to him, he is the first artiste who have been signed on the record label and thinks it is through his works that will pave way for other people to also be blessed to be signed onto the label.
Speaking to Kofi Asante on Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio, the Brown sugar hit maker said: ” the guys at xylophone have spent a lot on me and sometimes I feel like I have cheated them. It will take sometime before they reap their gains. But I believe I have to also pay my quota to ensure that the make gains from me and also be encouraged to sign other underground artiste”.
He noted that is will not be an easy hurdle but with God’s grace and time all things are possible and he will work to pave way for others to also enjoy their life as music artistes.
On his deal with the label, the break into two hit maker mentioned that he was shocked that his management gave him all that they have given him saying ” I was shocked. I went to sign the contract not knowing what was in for me. It was when I was reading through that I realised I all those things were part.
“When I was even driving my Sonata home, I was thinking my boss will send someone to come for the car later, then I realised the grace of God was at work”.
