FIFA’s “Live Your Goals” inspires young female footballers in Bolgatanga

Ghana Football Association (GFA) has organized a campaign programme Dubbed “Live Your Goals” to encourage young girls into Football.

 The 4TH   edition of FIFA “Live Your Goals” in the Upper East was held at the Bolgatanga Girls School (BOGISS) Park on Sunday.

The technical advisor of the  Ghana Football Association, Mr. Oti Akenten in an interview with a1radioonline.com at the training ground said the ‘Live Your Goals’ campaign project was initiated by FIFA with an idea of getting young girls involved in sports combine it with their education across the globe.

He noted that the campaign had been extended to the Upper East region because of the growing love for football by the female gender in the region and believes engaging these girls from the 10 Junior High schools in Bolgatanga, the Regional capital will make huge impact in changing the minds of these young girls to participate in football activities.

Some national female football ambassadors such as Anita Wiredu- Minta who plays for Black Queens and Immigration Ladies and Ivy Kolli who plays for Black Princesses and Police Ladies also shared their experiences with the young girls by engaging in a meaningful interaction such as what to achieve with football, especially with education.

Madam Lina Addy, Coach of the female national Under -20 side and Executive member of Ghana Football Association (GFA), Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and the Upper East Region RFA Chairman, Salifu Zida were among some of the dignitaries present at the programme.
