In line with the demand of our audience, we bring you a brief profile of SOOREBIA.
Martin Soore, known in Showbiz as Soorebia, is a Rap Artiste, who blends his local Gurune (frafra) language from the Upper East of Ghana, with English language. He is an energetic performer, who has perfected his stage craft over the years through hard work and performance with live band.

Soorebia started his Rap Career some eight years ago in Bolgatanga, where he made massive inroads with his mystical and revealing lyrics, which exposed his musical prowess. His contemporaries looked up to him with so much respect and admiration. His style of music is word-play, which he delivers with aggression in a blend of Frafra (Gurune) and English, making him appealing to a wider audience.

Soorebia grew up in Bolgatanga; attended Anglican Basic School and proceeded to Notre Dame Minor Seminary School in Navrongo. He attended the University for Development Studies and was waiting for his graduation, at the time of putting this piece togather.

Starting his career with a Bolgatanga based Record Label “FIREBLAZE Record”, Soorebia released several rib-cracking demos and mixtapes, which earned him his street discipleship, leading to the invention of the word “Tumaneh Gelesu”. However, his career shot higher, when he formed a Record Label ” BBT Record” together with two of his colleagues.

His commitment to the craft over the years, has pushed him higher in the industry, leading to the release of some Club Bangers and Hot Freestyles, under his a new movement #BBT (Bolga Boy Tins) with a very talented producer – AzkonnahBeatz.

Soorebia has colaborated with Ayillah, Nitchey Baeb, Onenira, Double T, Wanlov the Kubolor, Strongman, Leety, Ital, Zazzy Kundivi, among others.

Soorebia won Best Hip-Life Artiste at the 2013 Upper East Music Awards organized by A1 Radio(101.1MHz) in Bolga. He also got 5 nominations in the first edition of Northern Entertainment Awards in 2016 – Best Artiste, Upper East, Overall Best Artiste, Best Collabotaion (with Ayillah), Best Song, Upper East and Best Video.

He won the Best Song, Upper East, won the Best Artiste from Upper East in the 2016 Northern Music Awards in Tamale. His song “Primus” won the Best Hip-Hop Song of the week on Accra based Live FM Route 919 Entertainment Show, with Sammy Forson.

Soorebia has performed on many platforms and has shared same stage with Stevo, King Ayisoba, Wanlov, Wiyaala, Fancy Gadam and many others. So far, he’s been a phenomenon on Radio Stations in the Savanna regions, especially within the Upper East Region. His “Primus” track enjoyed airplay on YFM in Accra and some other Radio Stations and Nightclubs across the country.

In 2016, he staged his first ever musical concert dubbed – “Kiimakinna Concert” in Bolgatanga. The concert was well attended by 1000s of people from in and around Bolgatanga. In June 2017, he was the headline artiste in the maiden Bolga Meets Wa Musical Concert held in Wa in the Upper West Region of Ghana.

Soorebia has been working hard, collaborating with artiste in and outside the Upper East Region and he’s gaining recognition anywhere he goes. He has been positively reviewed by bloggers and entertainment pundits and writers in and beyond Ghana.
