As part of the company’s effort to build a solid brand and also give back to the society, Happy Man Bitters has launched the maiden edition of Champions cup; a football competition between some communities in Ashanti region.
The competition which is geared towards discovering football talents will take place from Monday September18,2017 to October 27,2017 at the Asem park in Kumasi.
At the launch held Friday at the Miklin Hotel in Kumasi, Chief Executive Officer of Charger Limited, Emmanuel Bortey Borketey said the tournament is Charger Limited’s small way of giving back to the communities that have supported them over the years.
He indicated that through the tournament, he is optimistic that some talents will be discovered and that may produce the next big thing in football in the country.
The launch was attended by personalities such as Daboo and Akrobeto.
The competition is between eighteen communities which will be given GHC200 as appearance fee. Eight teams to qualify for the quarter final will also be given GHC200 as a motivation for qualifying.
The wining community after the games will be awarded with an amount of GHc3500, medals, a trophy and a set of Happy Man branded jerseys. The community to come second in the competition will be given an amount of GHC2000 and a set of jersey.
The third place community will walk home with an amount of GHC1000 and a set of jersey whiles the fourth place community will go home with GHC500 and branded Happy Man Bitters jersey.
