The Black Stars of Ghana beat their Nigerian counterpart 4:1 to win the 2017 West African Football Union (WAFU) tournament in the finals played at the Cape Coast Stadium, Ghana on Sunday.

They led by a goal before the end of the first half through a goal by Striker Stephen Sarfo.

The introduction of substitute Patrick Razak in the second half did the magic for the Black Stars as he won a penalty for the team two minutes after he got onto the field, which was expertly converted by defender Vincent Atinga.

Patrick Razak, became a thorn in the flesh of the Nigerian defence and was a handful as he took them on several occasions and eventually won a second penalty for the Black Stars after he was fouled in the 16 yard box, which was converted by striker Stephen Sarfo for his brace in the match.

Midfielder, Winful Cobbinah put the icing on the cake scoring the fourth goal after he was served with a beautiful pass by striker Patrick Razak.

The Nigerians scored a consolation goal in injury time (94th) minute.
