Ayire hospital begins with sod-cutting ceremony

The Bongo-Soe community in the Bongo district on Monday witnessed a landmark observance of a sod cutting ceremony to commence the construction of an ultramodern hospital for the community. 

The project hopes to serve as a relief to residents who trek hours to the district capital to access quality health care. The Ayire hospital which is supported by some private banks hopes to be completed within 4 months.

Speaking to the media shortly after a community entry discussion, proprietor of the hospital, Emmanuel Ayire Adongo who is an indigene of the community said the establishment of the hospital is part of his corporate social responsibility to the community.

Mr. Ayire therefore gave an assurance that persons who could not afford the cost of health care delivery would be given free treatment when the hospital starts operating.

District Chief Executive of Bongo, Peter Ayinbisa commended owner of the hospital for his efforts to augment government’s efforts of providing access to quality health care to the doorsteps of the citizenry.

Mr. Ayinbisa elucidated that the objective of the hospital when completed shall deliver high quality health care services as compared with the public health centers.
