The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo has said the budget statement read by the finance Minister made the minority sleep because there was too much English rather than financial breakdowns which was supposed to be the case.

According to him, the Finance Minister intentionally boxed everything together  in order to confuse Ghanaians who do not really understand things about the economy.

He said “you saw that we were sleeping at some point, it was too much English. They told you that the industrial sector grew by 17%. What is the industrial sector? Industrial sector is such as oil and gas, mining such as gold, bauxite, diamond, it is construction, it is manufacturing, it is electricity so which one brought us the 17%.

He indicated that Ghanaians know industry as manufacturing and therefore will be happy to hear that industry is growing very well.

“They know that Ghanaians whwn we hear industry,we know it is manufacturing. So when they say industry grew by 17% they want to pretend that manufacturing is doing well. Let them give us the break down, did he? He wont because oil and gas gave us the 17%. Manufacturing is struggling, Service sector is struggling and Agriculture is also struggling,” he said.
