The Bolgatanga Polytechnic Alumni Thursday held a handing over ceremony which saw new executive take over power from the old one after the alumni held an election early this year.
Joseph Apakre, immediate past President of Bolgatanga Polytechnic Alumni said his administration made modest gains in contributing to the development of the Polytechnic because they cooperated with the school authority. He outlined some challenges they faced as past executive, but hoped the current administration will find some strategies to deal with those challenges.
Meanwhile, the new President of Bolgatanga Polytechnic Alumni Murtala Adama praised his predecessor for a wonderful leadership exhibited during his leadership period, promising to continue from where he stop especially in achieving foster mutual and beneficial relationship and networking among Alumni and the Polytechnic community, create a platform by which the interest of the Polytechnic shall be promoted.
However, Mr. Adama pointed that his administration will set to establish a permanent secretariat to coordinate and properly conduct the activities of the Alumni
Acting rector of Bolgatanga Polytechnic Prof. Samuel Alnna was optimistic with the level of cooperation by the Alumni and charged the new executive to work hard to improve upon it. He assured management is ready to receive any credible input from the Alumni executive
