Former Black Stars Striker, Prince Tagoe has said the country and Football Association was not fair in making Asamoah Gyan the Captain of the Ghana National team, Black Stars.

According to him, there are Senior Players including Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari who were well p[ositioned to handle the captaincy of the Black Stars.

He said “I feel things should have been done accordingly. If we should be honest with ourselves as Ghanaians we would realize there was a mistake somewhere because if Stephen was not around and Essien had no retired, who should have been captain? Even if Essien had retired, Muntari was also a senior player and could have become captain of the team”.

On rumours that Asamoah Gyan had a quarrel with Andre Ayew during the 2010 World Cup, the Prince of Goals indicated that that was not true. He used the opportunity to motivate the current crop of players in the team to be unified in order to conquer the world.
