The body of Jeremiah Bayinwi a final statistics student of Bolgatanga Polytechnic who got drowned at the Tano Recreational Pool has finally been laid to rest at his home town Navrongo in the Upper East Region.

It was all wailing and teeth nagging when the body of the deceased arrived at the campus of the Bolgatanga Polytechnic on Tuesday before subsequently been sent to Navrongo, for his burial. Jeremiah Bayinwi, affectionately called “stone” was the only child of his parents.

He got drowned last Friday when he together with his colleagues went to the pool to have fun as part of the School’s SRC week celebrations.

Presiding over the burial ceremony, Right Reverend Father Emmanuel Acheampong of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Minor Basilica in Navrongo pleaded with all those the late Jeremiah might have offended to forgive him since his soul needs forgiveness as he returns to his creator.

Reverend Father Acheampong therefore entreated all and sundry to live a pleasing life since death comes unknowingly.

Some of his colleagues who spoke to A1-News were disheartened following the demise of someone they considered as their inspirer, and a good friend.
