Asaah Joshua Atinga but called on radio Joshua Asaah hails from Sherigu, a suburb of the Bolgatanga Municipality in the Upper East Region. He started his radio career after he completed a broadcasting school known as Gerbera Daisy College of Communication in 2008 in Accra.
He was then given an opportunity to pursue a three months attachment at Style FM now Gurune Style and GBC-URA Radio all in Bolgatanga in 2010. He was subsequently employed at Style FM in 2010 and engaged as news reporter, presenter and producer.
In 2011 Joshua Asaah together with his colleagues resigned massively at then Style FM. A year later an opportunity availed itself. He was called to serve at A1 radio in Bolgatanga. Due to his zealousness and passion to serve the public through radio, he availed himself. He was subsequently engaged as news reporter and as well producer of the station’s biggest conversation platform “Day Break Upper East”. Due to his hard work and enthusiasm to work, he was promoted to senior reporter of the station.
When the opportunity came for someone to host A1 Radio’s Zina Yela (a local political program), the station looked for nobody else. He was called to duty to seat on one of the station’s “hot seats”. While hosting the most listened Gurune program in the region he was elevated to the position of editor. In November 2015 he was given the mandate to head the news department of the station.
Joe as he is widely called currently pursues a two year diploma in communication studies at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
Joshua hopes to become an expert in communication and is a motivated person, hard working and dedicated to providing accurate and impartial intelligence with persistence, poise and physical stamina to contain pressure. Joshua too has the emotional stability to deal with pressing deadlines.
