The 2016 flagbearer of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has chided government for concentrating on changing the history of Ghana while the people of Ghana are still wallowing in poverty and have several challenges.

There have been several debates on social media and mainstream media after the government celebrated the UGCC and its leaders as founders of Ghana.

But in a post on his Facebook page, the Nkrumaist could not fathom why the government will busy itself trying hard to change the history of Ghana.

He said “THEY are busy holding jamborees, collecting history papers, recruiting examiners, distorting and rewriting Ghana’s History”.

Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom writes:

“While the people suffer, they are busying themselves “marking” history papers!

While the people thirst,

While they hunger,

While they are still engulfed in filth,

While insecurity is enveloping the populace

While indiscipline threatens us on the roads, everywhere,

While dumsor persists,

While the graduates remain unemployed,

While the children remain outside the classroom,

While government cries about a difficult economy inherited,

While we import rice and vegetables

While every business person I know who does not feed off government’s table is nervous,

While we are swamped with taxes, fees, levies and more taxes, but no services,

THEY are busy holding jamborees, collecting history papers, recruiting examiners, distorting and rewriting Ghana’s History

THEY must not forget the reason why a party went and a party came,

THEY must know that the people are still suffering, while they are busy “marking” history papers!
