A1 Radio’s Albert Sore Nominated for Radio and Television Personality Awards

The year 2011 witnessed the birth of the Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards where outstanding radio and television personalities were honored for their contributions towards creating a vibrant media culture in Ghana.

This year, A1 Radio’s ‘Day Break Upper East’ host and News Editor, Albert Sore has been nominated in the Radio Personality of the year (northern sector) category of the Radio and Television Personality Awards.

The full nominee list of the 2013 RTP Awards, published in the 20th September Edition of the Daily Graphic featured Albert Sore and four others in from the Upper East, Upper West and Northern Regions in the same category. This is in recognition of their hard work and contribution towards creating media vibrant Northern Ghana and the county as a whole.

In an exclusive interview with A1 News, Albert Sore he said his nomination does not come to him as a surprise to him but it has humbled him.

Albert Sore developed passion for radio when as a child and got his chance to work with now-defunct Rock Fm in Bolgatanga as a sports presenter 2007 after his Senior Secondary education.

He later studied at the African University College of Communications (AUCC) in Accra and graduated in 2011 as a professional communicator and Journalist.

Mr. Sore has since then worked with A1 Radio as Morning Show Host and news reporter and became the acting news editor as well this year.

He also doubles as the Upper East Regional Correspondent for Joy fm and Joy News on Multi TV in Accra.

Management and the news team of A1 Radio wish Mr. Sore the best of luck and hope he wins the award for radio personality of the year, northern sector category in this year’s Radio and Television Personality.
