The upper east regional youth organizer for the People National Convention (PNC) Nagbila Cletus has resigned from his position and membership as the elected youth organizer for the party.

Pointing out the frustrations leading to his resignation from the party Tuesday, Mr. Nagbila told A1 news that since his 8 years membership with the PNC, he has not seen any good reforms as a youth leader and he thought it was about time he resigned.

“I write to formally inform you that, I have resigned from the party. My resignation is as a result of the realization that, the party in its current state has no vision, no direction and has no future for us as youth. This is because since after the 2016 elections the party at the regional level has never summoned any regional executive meeting for us to know the way forward, let alone the constituencies.

Following the above lapse of the party in the region, there has been virtually nothing and not even a single plan towards mobilizing the youth through the empowerment of the regional youth organizer. There is absolutely nothing attractive to youth in this region as a party” Mr. Nagbila stated.

He continued that “the worse form of it is the fact that, none of the regional executives and some executive can step in to play the roles of other regional executives even when they are around and can function effectively”

The worried youth organizer also blamed the poor communication among executive members in the region for his resignation.

Meanwhile, Albert Adongo, PNC regional secretary has acknowledged receipt of the resignation letter from the aggrieved youth organizer. He says the party will institute a committee to resolve the issues raised by the youth organizer and afterword bring him back to his post.

“Indeed, I have officially received a resignation letter coming from our regional youth organizer, indicating that he is resigning from the party. I must say is big blow to the party fraternity in the sense that we are a democratic party always asking for more members to come, canvassing for more members to come into the party to see how we can together develop our dear country, so if for somebody like Cletus being the regional youth organizer resigns, it is something that is not good news and on behalf of the party in the region, I must say that we are not happy” Mr. Adongo said.

“But for meantime, we can’t say much, we will have to actually seat with him to know what have occasioned his resignation and I am on the high hope that, he is going to take a second look and come back to the party” He added.

He further indicated that the issues raised by the aggrieved regional organizer will be treated as allegations until it is proven with evidence.
