One of Upper East region finest Disc Jockeys and event organizer, Seidu Sulemana Akurugu, popularly known as DJ Phat Bone has earned a nomination in the “Best DJ Upper East” category at the 2018 edition of the Ghana DJ Awards.

DJ Phat Bone who co-hosts the Sunset Drive on A1 Radio in Bolgatanga was nominated in this year’s edition at the launch of the awards on Friday, April 6th in Accra.

Phat Bone is widely known for his unique voice and taste for music selection both on radio and at events. He has many times been touted as the best and most hard working DJ in the region who gets listeners “locked down on their radio sets” and patrons of events on their feet. His contenders in the “Best DJ Upper East” category this year include DJ Prince, DJ Dubai, Dj Okokobioko, and DJ Aluther who won in this category last year.

The nomination of the “Master Turntablist” comes as no surprise as he has worked hard to carve a niche for himself in the field. He is hopeful of taking the award home this year and prays for a fair judgement devoid of probs. To vote for DJ Phat Bone to win in this category, text DJU1 to short code 1736.
