An ambulance I bought for Nabdam which was condemned and called a “second-hand” is currently serving the whole of the Upper East Region, former Member of Parliament for Nabdam, Boniface Gambilla has told A1 Radio News

”That Ambulance that I bought for the first time for Nabdam and they said it is second hand, is the one that is serving the Upper East Region now” he said.

Mr. Gambilla told Samuel Mbura on Day Break Upper East on A1 Radio that, he was the only MP who saw it necessary to make procurement of the automobile to improve the emergence health care delivery system in the area.

“I was the only MP who bought an ambulance for Nabdam. No MP since the last 20 years, since 1993 to 2014, found the health of Nabdam important to buy and ambulance for them”.

Mr. Gambilla said his gesture was however thrown into the dustbin and his ambulance labeled a “second-hand” vehicle when word got to his opposition that he had secured for the area an ambulance.

He added that his opposition capitalized on that and promised electorates a new ambulance when voted into parliament.

Now in Parlaiment, the former Upper East Regional says he has not seen any ambulance that has been purchased for Nabdam by his opponent.

“The new ambulances the NDC MP promised to buy for the people of Nabdam, I haven’t seen them yet. And I don’t know how many he is going to buy.

He teased saying” now that one that I bought and they condemned is the one that the Upper East Regional Hospital, the whole region are using from Nabdam to Kumasi, Nabdam to Accra. It has gone to Kumasi so many times. It has gone to Tamale Teaching Hospital so many times”

Mr. Gambilla slammed the minority for behaving like kids on the issue surrounding the sack of two officials from the Volta Regional offices of Births and Deaths.

The Minority in Parliament this week raised doubts over the exit of some two officials of the Birth and deaths registry in the Volta Region.

According to the Minority, the NPP is scheming to use the Volta corridor to inflate the voters register in that region to rig elections 2020.

The NPP has however shot down the allegations saying they have not intensions to engage in any form of election malpractices.

Meanwhile, President Akufo Addo is in the Volta Region as part of his three- day tour of the Region. He met with the Chiefs and people of the region yesterday.
