Alhaji Limuna Mohammed-Muniru, immediate past Upper East Regional Minister has handed over his official duties to Dr. Ephraim Avea Nsoh, who before taking over the Upper East region was Upper West Regional Minister.
Alhaji Muniru handed over official documents to Dr. Avea Nsoh at a brief ceremony at the Regional coordinating council on Thursday. Alhaji Muniru is expected to leave the Upper East Region on Saturday to the Northern Region where he is to take over as Regional Minister.
Before handing over to Dr. Avea, Alhaji Muniru outlined some achievements he chalked during his tenure as Upper East Regional Minister. He mentioned the ongoing construction of major roads in the region, the revamping of the Northern Star Tomato Factory and the yet to be constructed aerodrome for the region.
Alhaji Muniru also expressed gratitude to the people of the Upper East for the support given him during his tenure and called for similar support for his successor.
Dr. Avea Nsoh on his part, pledged to continue the legacy of his predecessor in the development of the region.
