As part of activities marking her 10th anniversary celebration, A1 radio, a subsidiary of ABC Limited, is organizing a football gala in Bolgatanga today Saturday, September 7.
The anniversary celebration is under the Theme; 10 years of excellent broadcasting; the role of A1 radio in developing Upper East Region.
Set to be among the last set of activities marking the celebration, the tournament promises to be one like never before.
The highly competitive sporting event will have teams from 12 different corporate organizations, government departments, social groups as well as political parties within the Upper East Region converging at Mobil Park, in the Bolgatanga Municipality; to fight for glory.
The anniversary celebrant, A1 Radio, whose slogan is “Beat them all”, according to sources from within, is poised to host and win.
Just in a matter of time, we will find out how they fare against the other teams which comprise of MTN Ghana LTD, Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNT), Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Democratic Congress (NDC), New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Media 11. The rest are Ashante Boys, Ghana Health Services (GHS) and Zoomlion Ghana LTD.
Participating teams from each side will competitively go through the various stages to have two sides qualify for the finals.
Prizes at stake include 2 sets of jerseys, medals and a trophy.
The gala is scheduled to kick-start today at 7:00am amidst great music and funfair.
