The District Chief Executive of Bongo, Peter Ayamga Ayinbisa has donated medical essentials and materials to the Ghana Health Service to boost the fight against Covid19 in the District.

This donation has timely intervened and augmented measures in curtailing the spread of Coronavirus in that part of the country.

There is the need to intensify education and provide adequate logistics to health facilities in Bongo because of the porous nature of the borders to Burkina Faso making it possible for foreigners to cross the border for health care.

Though the Bongo District has not recorded any confirmed case of Covid19, various stringent measures and stop gap measures have been taken by the DCE to sensitize and guard the borders from human migration as directed by the President.

Mr. Ayinbisa and his Team of Technocrats have already met with traditional leaders in the District to look at the way forward I’m dealing with the emergency health threat at hand.

According to Peter Ayinbisa who doubles as the Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP in Bongo the fight against Covid19 needs a concerted efforts to succeed and therefore called for all hands on deck.

He said the materials presented will be placed at vantage points in the District to ensure residents adhere to safety standards and precautionary measures.

Similar presentation has been dispatched to Bongo lorry pack, Bongo Market” he said.

He has however added that more logistics will be provided to fight Covid19 in the coming weeks and appealed to residents to stay safe and observe social distancing.
“By next week more will be presented”he added.
