The Upper East Deputy Regional Communications officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)  Casper Kampoli, says, the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP) will be booted out of power by Ghanaians in the December polls due to the party’s the abysmal performance.

Ghanaians will be heading to the polls on December 7, to either retain an NPP government or elect the opposition NDC.

But Speaking on A1 Radio’s Daybreak Upper East, Mr. Kampoli, said, the promises made by the NPP in 2016 and its abysmal performance in government leaves much doubt in the minds of Ghanaians to be retained.

“Day in-Day out, this government(NPP) keeps on giving the people of Ghana the reasons why we shouldn’t vote them . They don’t give us reasons why we should give them another four years but they keep on putting us in the news for all the bad reasons”.

“Development is not all about growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP).It about how to reduce poverty, unemployment and inequality.

So, these are the three things that, the people of this country measure the government, how have they reduce poverty in their lives, what steps have they taken to reduce unemployment and inequality. And since Nana Addo took over this country, some few people in the hemps of affairs are enjoying whilst majority of Ghanaians are not”.

Mr. Kampoli, chided the NPP’s government for its inability to deliver the 350 senior high schools promised within its first term compared to the community day senior high schools delivered under the NDC.

He described government’s One-village-One –dam as a mirage not fit for purpose arguing that, the project was an insult to the people of the region.

‘One-District-One-Factory, the NPP government has not constructed even one in the Upper East Region. When you take the Upper East Region, the NDC has a superior record to the NPP and we are going to challenge them on these facts”.
