Video: Teacher connects keyboard to an imaginary monitor on a chalk board to teach ICT in Bongo

The challenge of Teaching and Learning Materials(TLMs) in rural Ghana to propel information technology education at the basic level has been worsen by the unavailability of the required materials.

This has forced some teachers to improvise techniques to teach school children on what a computer is and how it functions.

In an ICT lesson in the Bongo District of Upper East Region, a teacher ,Akundaare Paul Awinbisa has been captured in a video using an outmoded keyboard with a cable he brought from the house to demonstrate to the class how the computer works.

He was teaching the topic ‘Input and Output devices’ of a computer.

This incident happened at  Sikabiisi Junior high School in the Bongo district of the Upper East Region.
