Leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Stephen Atubiga, has served notice to a group calling itself ‘Concern NDC Youth in Binduri’ to publish its letter of retraction in the dailies within 7 days or face legal action.
It could be recalled that the leadership of the group wrote to Mr. Atubiga pleading for forgiveness; after they once accused him of collecting goodies from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to campaign for its Parliamentary Candidate, Abdulai Abanga in the 2020 election.
But in a latest development, Mr. Atubiga through his lawyers said he will commence legal action against the group if it fails within 7 days to publish its letter of retraction on both the Daily Graphic Newspaper and the Daily Post Newspaper.
When contacted, the NDC Communicator told A1Radioonline.com that the move by his lawyers was the best way to deal with the matter; hence he expects full compliance from the group.
According to him, though he hails from the same district as members of the group, the move by his lawyers seeks to caution against similar future happenings.
Below is the rejoinder by lawyers for Stephen Atubiga
