The Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is prepared to face whoever the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) shall present as its presidential candidate in the 2024 general elections. Dr. Clement Apaak, Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa South has said.

Reports of leading personalities in the NPP with presidential ambitions have emerged with names like Former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko, Trades and Industry Minister Allan Kyeremanteng and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, among others.

But in a conversation on A1 Radio’s Daybreak East programme, Dr. Apaak said the opposition party was ready to face any candidate the NPP settles on.

“As for their lineup, it is their cup of tea. Whoever they decide to file, we are ready. And I am very confident that our striker is going to be [Former President] John Mahama; and he has dealt with them before.”

The Builsa South MP reiterated that the elections of 2024 will be “A-do-or-die affair” for the NDC.

He also noted that the umbrella party would make sure they deploy representatives to all polling and coalition centers across the country to ensure everything is done in an appropriate manner.
