Big Boss PTA Hands Over Newly Constructed Dormitories to the School

The Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A) of Bolgatanga Senior High School (BIGBOSS) has handed over a 600 student’s capacity boys dormitories to the school. The construction of the new dormitory blocks was initiated by the executives of the P.T.A. lead by the Chairman Mr. P.P Apaabey.

Addressing the gathering at the commissioning of the project, the PTA Chairman expressed delight over the good turn-out of both parents and teachers and intimated that the successful construction of the project is a dream come true.

However, he added that the completion of the 600 student’s capacity boy’s dormitory project is one of the many projects that the PTA looks forward to construct for the school to help augment some of the challenges students face in the school in terms of accommodation.

He disclosed to parents some of the activities that the PTA undertook during the past two terms and added that the PTA was able to organize pep talks for student leaders in the school, renovated some bungalows of teachers and still had some good development projects in the offing for the school.

The Headmaster of the school Mr. Afelibiek Ababu expressed goodwill over the bold step taken by the Parent Teacher Association of the school. He also reminded the P.T.A executives and the school Board members of the overwhelming number of students which have resulted in overcrowding in the dormitories. He indicated how crucial the school needed more dormitories and therefore used the medium to call on other organizational bodies to come to their aid.
