UE: Dancehall Goddess seeks to heal Africa’s wounds through music

A Navrongo based dancehall artist has raised her voice seeking to create awareness amongst African leaders to avoid wars and corruption.

AlaptaWan as she is known in showbiz has released compelling visuals of her song titled ‘Africa is bleeding’ highlighting some actions and inactions that impede development in some nations in Africa.

The young Goddess who’s in her late 20s says music is one of the powerful tools that can address the challenges confronting the continent.

Africa is bleeding is one of her numerous singles that addresses issues of teenage pregnancy, corruption, terrorism, political instability, and insecurity in society.

In 2021, she emerged as the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year in the Upper East Music Awards.

Felicity Nketia being her birth name says she will continue crafting her art awareness creation and breeding inclusiveness.
