It would be recalled that after an initial deciison to hold off sponsorship for the Upper East Music Awards, the CEO of Charger Industries, producers of Happy Man Bitters, Emmanuel Borketey Bortey reconsidered his decision and decided to throw his weight behind organisers of the Music Award Scheme as headline sponsor.
The decision was communicated in a release by Mr. Bortey and copied to a1radioonline.com.
In that earlier release, it was communicated that “based on this [the decision for reconsideration], Happy Man Bitters, as a brand, is taking steps to ensure that its official organizers make the 2022 edition of Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards (UEMA) possible. However, specific steps have been implemented to ensure this year’s edition is void of controversies and displeasure from concerned parties.”
In light of the earlier communication, the first of many stakeholders’ forums has been held in Bolgatanga, the Upper East Regional capital with seasoned entertainment personality, Sammy Flex.
This was contained in another release by Mr. Bortey and copied to this website.
“The event witnessed a discussion around ways to improve the 2022 edition of Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards. Concerned parties made inputs, and at the end of the day, the organisers announced a communication channel to receive and act on all grievances and information as we advance.”
“As a brand dedicated to giving back to the community, we endeavour to do so in the most effective way. Therefore, our top priority is ensuring transparency and grievance-free 2022 Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards. The journey begins from here.”
