Having given the green light for the commencement of processes leading to this year’s Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards by the headline sponsor, artistes and creatives were over the weekend educated on how to sell their craft and creatives guided on how to promote Upper East Music Industry at a stakeholder forum.

The guest speaker for the forum, Samuel Atuobi Baah who is a seasoned entertainment journalist and Chief Executive Officer of Sammy Flex TV explained that seminars are very key to the growth of every music industry globally and also helps educate Artist and creatives to give them a better understanding of their craft.
Having interacted with the artistes and creatives in the industry, Sammy Flex noted that, the Region is dense with good and talented musicians and with good guidance, they can compete nationally in the entertainment space.
He stated that “personally when Pious called me that, he would want us to do this seminar I was so happy about it. I said that this is something that does not happen often. I have been part of seminars like this, I have been part of Volta Music awards seminar, Central Music Awards seminar and now this seminar too.”
He added that, “artistes are people who do not get chances to learn but it is not their fault that, they are not learning. It is because of the way they have been made; they have to create so if you are part of them and you do not learn for them, you will create and after creation, they will not even know what to do with it. So, opportunities like these give them the opportunity to learn.”

According to him, at every point in one’s career, one may need guidance on career progression and the same can be said for those in the creative space.
He, therefore, appealed to the organizers of the Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards to consider making it an annual thing where resource persons are invited to help sensitize entertainers on how to market their craft.
