Four outstanding top retailers of Yara Ghana, a fertilizer manufacturing company, have received various awards under Yara’s Connect loyalty program. The Yara Connect loyalty program was introduced by Yara Ghana to improve the digital distribution and sales of Yara fertilizers by retailers across Ghana and beyond.

The program, which was launched in 2022, allows all Yara retailers to download the Yara Connect application and use it to scan QR codes on Yara fertilizer bags to strengthen brand loyalty and accumulate points that earn retailers rewards.

Speaking at a ceremony to reward the top four retailers in Balshie, a community under the Tamale metropolis in the Northern Region, Mrs. Theresa Randolph, Managing Director of Yara Ghana Company Limited, said the Yara Connect app helps the company’s value chain run effectively. The MD mentioned that Yara Connect has since been implemented in many countries across which saw many benefits from it.

“Yara Connect seeks to provide a strongly connected input channel from Yara to farm, driving sustainable growth and contributing to thriving smallholder farming communities. Yara Connect is currently available in India, Indonesia, Kenya, Philippines, Tanzania, Thailand, Vietnam and now Ghana,” she said.

While appreciating the top four awardees for their commitment to using the application, Mrs. Randolph stated that many other Yara retailers across the country have received various prizes as part of the Yara Connect rewards.

“Several rewards in the form of Yara branded polos, raincoats, smart phones, and others have been given out and today we are here to reward the top four retailers with the most loyalty points in 2023 in the northern sector. I would like to say congratulations to the top four winners and encourage other retailers to commit fully to using the Yara Connect app in all their transactions to stand the chance of also being here next year to receive their rewards,” she added.

The top four retailers who received the awards included Hadara Enterprise located in Wa in the Upper West Region, Saka Enterprise and Bolnaba Enterprise, both located in the Bawku Municipality of the Upper East Region, who each received a tricycle popularly known as Motor King.
