King Ayisoba, a traditional kologo music star, has advised young musicians to remain humble and stay committed to their budding careers.

The musician, speaking to Mark Smith on A1 Radio’s Day Break Upper East Show on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, explained that kologo musicians, in particular, must be very committed to their craft because it takes longer for such artists to gain prominence.

“I will advise them to be humble. I think that kologo music is a long road. It is not a short road. It is easier to hit with hip-hop. Kologo music takes longer. [I would advise them that] they should calm down, be together, and support one another. They should not be fighting,” he said.

King Ayisoba also called on young musicians to avoid drunkenness and the abuse of other substances.

“Too much alcohol is not good. Too much of other substances is not good either,” he said.
