A businessman in the Upper East Region, Hayatudeen Awudu, has donated a total of sixteen new laptop computers to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper East Region to enhance the party’s activities in the region.

Mr. Awudu, while presenting the laptops to the NDC at its party’s regional office in Zuarungu, said the devices are expected to help the party in the region execute its mandate in ensuring that H.E. John Dramani Mahama and all Parliamentary candidates representing the party are elected into office in the upcoming general elections in December 2024.

He said, “We are having a kind donation of sixteen laptops. I personally want to donate them through the regional office of the party to be able to support the constituencies and the region. We know the task that lies ahead of us in the next seven to eight months and beyond. As a party, certainly no party wins without the support of its members. In my own small way, I think I can do this to be able to help in the operations at the party offices to put us on firm ground to ensure that H.E. John Dramani Mahama wins, and also within our region, we should be able to secure all the fifteen seats so we can have 100%.”

“It is my hope and expectation that we will put them into good use and ultimately, we will get the best outcome that we all expect in the upcoming elections.”

Receiving the laptops on behalf of the party, the Upper East Regional Chairman of the party, Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba, expressed gratitude to Mr. Awudu for the kind gesture and promised to put the devices into good use.

Alhaji Bolnaba called on Ghanaians to vote out the governing New Patriotic Party because they do not have Ghanaians at heart.

He said, “On behalf of the party, I want to thank you for this kind gesture. Let us all do our work well. God willing, NDC will come to power in 2025. When we come to power, we don’t discriminate. We will work with everyone hand in hand to make sure Ghana is good for everyone.”

Alhaji Bolnaba chastised the New Patriotic Party for reneging on its promise to make the country better for ordinary Ghanaians.

He said, “Any promise that the NPP promised, they did not fulfill any. Everything’s price has gone up, either foodstuffs, fuel, vehicles, everything. Ghanaians were thinking that during the NDC era, things were not good, but now they have realized that under the NPP, the suffering is unbearable. Ghanaians now want the NDC to come to power and rescue the country.”
