A1 Radio, a subsidiary of the Agreed Best Communication Company, is readying for the second celebration of the International Tea Day.
The International Tea Day, celebrated on May 21 each year, is a global observance aimed at promoting and honoring the cultural, economic, and health significance of tea. Across the world, celebrations may vary from educational events and tea tastings to cultural exhibitions and social media campaigns.
This day serves as a platform to raise awareness about the history, cultivation, and benefits of tea, while also fostering a sense of community among tea enthusiasts and industry stakeholders.
When the General Manager of A1 Radio, William Nlanjerbor Jalulah, spoke on the Day Break Upper East Show, he stated that this year’s celebration has been expanded to include more games and a health screening exercise.
“It was a very successful program last year, and we are looking to make it bigger. We know that the day originally falls on May 21 every year. This year, it falls on a Tuesday, and so we don’t want to interrupt people’s flow of work. We have decided that on the day itself, we would have tea all day in the office. If you are passing by, you can drink some tea. But that is not the celebration itself. We will do the celebration itself on the 25th of May,” he said.
Beyond the tea, bread, and biscuits that would be available for attendees to sample, Mr. Jalulah announced that there would be a free health screening stand to attend to the health needs of the participants.
Additionally, there would be a variety of games available.
The General Manager of A1 Radio appealed for partners and sponsors to partner with the company to make the event even more successful.
The International Tea Day Celebration at A1 Radio is a free event and is open to all residents.
