The Upper East Region is recording consistent increases in new voter registrations as the nation’s limited 21-day registration exercise hits the midway point.

In the Upper East, just 435 new voters were registered on Day 1 of the process. However, this number steadily climbed over the following days, reaching 801 registrations on Day 2 and 2,389 on Day 3 – the current high number for a single day in the region so far.

As the second week commenced, Upper East voter registration remained robust. Day 8 saw another 1,333 new voters added, while Days 9 and 10 recorded 1,481 and 1,167 more registrations respectively.

Through Day 11, the Upper East’s cumulative new voter total had reached 17,635.

This was communicated by the Electoral Commission through its official facebook page.
