Eastwood Anaba Ministries has donated essential educational materials to Abilba No.1 Junior High School in the Bolgatanga Municipality. The donation, valued at over GH¢30,000, includes 12 desks and chairs for teachers, three whiteboards, one hundred packets of exercise books, sports equipment, and more. In addition to the educational materials, the ministry also presented a cash donation of GHS 10,000 to the school.
The donation was made on behalf of the President, Friends, and Partners of Eastwood Anaba Ministries by the Vice President, Rev. Mrs. Rosemond Anaba. She acknowledged the efforts of the teaching staff and urged them to take good care of the donated materials, which will help improve teaching and learning.
“To the Headteacher and Staff, who are the backbone of this institution, we recognize your dedication. The tools provided here are meant to support your incredible efforts to nurture the young minds of the future. I urge you to take good care of the items donated to you, and we hope they will help the learners improve in their academic work so they can realize their dreams, like Pastor Eastwood.”
Addressing the gathering, Vice President Rev. Mrs. Rosemond Anaba encouraged the students to be inspired by the story of struggle and persistence of Rev. Eastwood Anaba. She emphasized that they all have the ability to make a positive difference in the world.
“One of the illustrious students who received his middle school education at this school is none other than Pastor Eastwood Anaba, the Founder of the Fountain Gate Chapel and the President of Eastwood Anaba Ministries. Life was not easy for him at all; despite being brilliant, his dream of pursuing further education was nearly cut short after middle school. With all hope lost, it took the benevolence of Mr. Jacob Agambire, his class teacher at Abilba Middle School, who saw a great future in Pastor Eastwood Anaba and decided to sponsor him to continue his education at the same school.”
“To the students here today, know that each one of you has the ability to make a positive difference in the world. Let this gesture remind you that your education matters and that we, as a community, believe in your potential.”
The Headmistress of the school, Madam Matilda Kunsike, expressed her gratitude to the Ministry for the donation and cash support, promising that they would be used to enhance teaching and learning.
“For what you have done, I want to say thank you. Thank you to the church, thank you to the ministry, and thank you to the partners of Eastwood Anaba Ministries all over the world for this kind gesture. We will take good care of what you have brought us and ensure the students use them.”
The donation was witnessed by representatives from the Ghana Education Service, who appreciated the ministry for its timely intervention with educational materials. They took the opportunity to request further assistance with classroom furniture.
