The Assembly Member for the Atosale-Azaasi Electoral Area, Hon. Christopher Atiisi, has issued a passionate call for residents—both home and abroad—to participate in a proposed Homecoming Summit aimed at spearheading development initiatives in the community.

Speaking on Tinmalego Sanga on Bolga FM on Wednesday, June 19, 2025, Hon. Atiisi emphasized that the summit would serve as a collaborative platform for idea-sharing, community engagement, and strategic planning to address the area’s developmental challenges.

“We are inviting all sons and daughters of Atosale-Azaasi to join us for this important event. Together, we can identify solutions to our challenges and work towards a brighter future for our community,” he stated.

He noted that the Homecoming Summit will attract opinion leaders, professionals, and key stakeholders, creating an avenue for meaningful networking, partnerships, and collective problem-solving.

As the Presiding Member of the Kassena-Nankana Municipal Assembly, Hon. Atiisi revealed that he is leveraging his lobbying experience and working with community members to mobilize resources for critical infrastructure development. Among his key projects is an initiative to extend electricity to underserved communities within the electoral area.

“I have written proposals to the Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central, appealing for support in the provision of electricity poles to connect communities that are not yet on the national grid,” he said.

Addressing road infrastructure, Hon. Atiisi announced plans to utilize the district’s drip machines to construct and rehabilitate roads within the electoral area. He emphasized that this move would significantly improve access and mobility across Atosale-Azaasi.

“By deploying the drip machine, we will open up key routes and enhance connectivity, making it easier for residents to travel and conduct business,” he added.

The assembly member also highlighted the successful completion of a community-based CHPS (Community-based Health Planning and Services) compound through a self-help initiative. According to him, the project was made possible through the collective financial contributions of community members, complemented by his leadership and guidance.

“We organized fundraising activities, and residents came together to support the project. It was a true demonstration of what we can achieve when we unite for a common goal,” Hon. Atiisi said.

He concluded with a renewed call for unity, urging residents to rally behind the upcoming Homecoming Summit to foster long-term growth and transformation in the Atosale-Azaasi Electoral Area.
