Some concerned members of the New Patriotic Party here in the Upper East Region are calling on party’s council of elders to intervene in what they consider a dictatorial approach to the matter involving Paul Afoko, an aspiring national Chairman of the party.
The group says the decision to put Mr. Afoko’s vetting on hold due to a petition brought against him by some anonymous persons is only to satisfy the parochial interest of some members of the party.
Led by the NPP Chiana-Paga constituency Second Vice Chairman, Roger Atasige and a leading regional communications team member, Karim Ahmed Bediako, the Concerned Members of NPP in the Upper East Region held a press conference in Bolgatanga on Monday. Roger Atasige spoke on behalf of the group.
