The least said about Bawumia, the better – Inusah Fuseini

The Tamale Central Member of Parliament, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, has questioned the manner in which Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia applies his doctorate degree in analyzing national issues.

Alhaji Inusah’s burst of anger followed recent comments by Vice President Bawumia that suggested that the construction of One Village One Dam in the Savannah regions of Ghana is better than the infamous Savannah Accelerated Development Authority’s Guinea Fowls saga that rocked the country during the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) regime.

Speaking at the launch of activities marking the 20th Anniversary of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON), the student wing of the New Patriotic Party, in Accra on Monday, 29th July 2019, Vice President Bawumia dismissed attempts by the opposition NDC to cast doubt on the construction of the dams, in a failed attempt to equalise for their infamous ‘Guinea Fowls to Burkina Faso’ saga.

But speaking on A1 Radio’s DayBreak Upper East show Friday August 30, 2019, Alhaji Inusah said Dr. Bawumia is often consumed by propaganda without applying his doctorate degree whenever he is analyzing critical national issues.

He said, “Bawumia is so consumed with propaganda and so sometimes when he talks; he fails to understand how he gets up to apply his doctorate degree.”

When asked by host of the show, Samuel Mbura whether his comment was not an indictment on the image of the Vice president, Alhaji Inusah replied; “I have not, Ghanaians have already indicted with his image. Clearly, he has already been indicted.”

He further quizzed the host, “Guinea fowls from where you sit in your studio, can guinea fowls fly to Burkina Faso?  Or you don’t know guinea fowls? Where were the guinea fowls that flew to Burkina Faso? Somebody of his caliber, who says he is a doctor, can peddle this falsehood and reinforce it in the minds of people, then the least said about him, the better.”

When Mr. Mbura asked the Tamale Central MP if Dr. Bawumia is a thorn in the flesh of the opposition NDC, he replied, “Dr. Bawumia was educated with money from the NDC. Bawumia was working in abroad. From Canada, he went to the United States to work. NDC brought him to the Bank of Ghana. We brought him home and gave him work.”
