Leader of Concerned DKM customers, Patrick Baffoe has expressed worries and disappointment over the failed promise of the government to pay their locked up funds.

According to Mr. Baffoe even though the current government was also doing same part payment as the previous administration had done, many of the affected victims are yet to be paid be paid fully.

“Even though there are customers who have received full payment of their funds, there are also many others who have not been paid fully” He said.

He questioned the whereabouts of the Ghs 13 billion which President Nana Ado Dankwa Akufo-Addo had said in his 2020 address to the nation that had been pumped into Bank of Ghana to be paid to defunct DKM customers fully.

Mr. Baffoe who was speaking on A1 radio’s Day Break Upper East’, gave a strong warning saying that “This same issue played a key role in sending the previous Government to opposition so the current administration should be mindful of how it handles the issues of DKM”.

Mr. Baffoe however expressed optimism that government was a listening government and would pay knowing that 2020 election is at hand.

Meanwhile,Upper East Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP)Anthony Namoo in response to the worries of these customers said that inasmuch as he agrees with their views about locked up funds ,they should understand that the government would act on that as soon as possible.
