Yet to be called flag bearer for his yet to be accepted newly founded political party National Liberation Congress (NLC) by the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Stephen Atubiga has hit hard on his former party National Democratic Congress (NDC) for sacking Samuel Koku Ayindoho from the party.

According to him, the action by the party and its functional committee was cowardly conducted and pathetically executed.

The NDC in a letter circulation on social media platforms noted that it has a meeting with its Functional Executive Committee (FEC) on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 and agreed to expel Mr Samuel Koku Ayindoho from the party over his misconduct and anti-party behaviour.

The sacking it says fall in line with article 48 (1) (9) (a) of the NDC Constitution.

But sad over the unfortunate development, Mr Atubiga and founder of NLC wrote on his Facebook page that “As I encourage my brother koku Ayedindoho to be robust for the unnecessary expulsion from the NDC, The cowardly conduct of the NDC in handling and managing internal issues is very pathetic.”

He continued “Until the grassroots, the youth, and the foot – soldiers can liberate their party from dictatorship, greediness, intolerance, wickedness, backstabbing, Arrogance, vindictive, corrupt, segregation, and betrayal leadership of today’s NDC, the NDC that we all know will continue to be a keep fit club and a press conference resistance group.

In as much as I believe in the rule of law per the party Constitution, the party is not a personal entity as the current national chairman and his cable are doing. the party is not also a religious body.”

Touching on what he described as unseriousness of the NDC, Mr Atubiga added that “…any serious political party in opposition hoping to win power one day, will also make room to accommodate the good, the bad, and the ugly for strategic planning. With what is happening in today’s NDC and how the incompetent national chairman is running the party, our sitting President Nana Addo would have always defeated the NDC if the Constitution permitted him for a 3rd, 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th, and 10th terms. JJ’s former party has suffered as the Nigerians will say. NDC members fix your party and liberate yourselves. Well, time will tell.”

Meanwhile, Stephen Atubiga has resigned from the party on May 20, 2021, following his misconduct against the party.
