The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Upper East Regional Youth Organizer, Salahu-Deen Musah Al-Khomeini, has rallied behind former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as the only leader capable of steering the party to victory in the 2028 elections.
Speaking in an interview on A1 Radio, Salahu-Deen emphasized the overwhelming support Dr. Bawumia commands among Ghanaian youth, citing his innovative ideas and solution-driven leadership style.
“The youth revolving around Dr. Bawumia is not for nothing but for his forward thinking, niche vision, and solution-driven agenda for growth. Didn’t you see during his filing? The crowd, majority youth from different regions and religions, came to support him and listen to his ideas. He is the only one who can save this country, which the NDC is already messing up,” he said.
He criticized the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), particularly President John Dramani Mahama, for failing cocoa farmers and losing the fight against illegal mining (galamsey). According to him, these failures have left many disillusioned.
Salahu-Deen added that Dr. Bawumia’s vision aligns with the demands of a technologically advancing world, positioning him as the ideal candidate to revive Ghana’s economy and restore hope.
“As a party, we need someone who can bring innovative ideas and practical solutions, and that person is Dr. Bawumia,” he stressed.
The NPP Upper East Regional Secretary hopeful called on NPP supporters in the region and beyond to rally behind Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, expressing optimism that with collective effort, the party can return to power in 2028.
