Hundreds of young men and women have stormed the Bolgatanga post office and the Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) to purchase the vouchers for the nationwide recruitment into the security services.
The Centralised Services E-Recruitment (C-SERP) portal for registration and sale of vouchers began on Monday, November 17, 2025 and will remain active until Friday, December 19, 2025 giving prospective candidates a month to apply.
Most of these young potential applicants arrived at the Bolgatanga post office and the Ghana Commercial Bank as early as 4am on Tuesday morning to begin the process of serving in any of the internal security services.
Among these applicants are nursing mothers and those from far rural areas of the Upper East Region.
Our news team interacted with some of the applicants on their interest in serving in the security services.
“Joining the security service especially the Ghana Police Service has always been something I wish to become and I tried last two years to be enlisted into the police service but couldn’t make it, so I am here again to try my luck,” a 24 year old applicant explained.
“As someone residing in Zebilla, being an immigration officer is what I want to become looking at how these officers at the various borders in my area are working and how they comport themselves is admirable, so I want to also be one of them,” a lady applicant said.
When asked if it is because of unemployment that drive them to wanting to join the security services, this is what a 26-year-old applicant has to say.
“You know serving your country in any capacity comes with family responsibility and motivation from government, so it is not far from we wanting to survive through the security service work. Though some of us may have the passion to join, others may necessarily want to escape joblessness but in all, we are all going to serve our their nation just as you are doing well in the area of journalism”.
At the time of filing this story, only a few out of the over hundred applicants at the Bolgatanga post office were able to purchase the vouchers due to the pressure at the place.
Ghana Police Service personnel have been deployed to provide security and avoid any accidents.
